Adult Congenital Heart Program — For adults who experienced any form of heart disease as a child, or were born with structural defects in their hearts, we offer comprehensive, long-term follow-up care in conjunction with the Congenital Heart Center.

Anticoagulation Service — Safe, effective blood clot-prevention strategies for patients with any condition that requires blood-thinning medication to reduce their health risks.

Aortic Valve and Thoracic Aortic Disease — Medical and surgical care for patients with disorders of the aortic valve (which controls blood flow from the heart to the body), including hardening, weakening and scarring.

Arrhythmia & Electrophysiology — Expert treatment for all forms of heart rhythm irregularities, from medications to implanted devices to a world-leading program for minimally invasive ablation therapy.

Cardiac Catheterization and Intervention — High-quality, minimally invasive diagnosis and treatment for blood vessel, valve and heart-wall conditions - including angioplasty, stenting and advanced procedures.

Cardiac Surgery — For conditions of the heart and large blood vessels that need surgical repair, U-M is renowned for bypass operations, valve repair and replacement, transplant and much more.

Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology — A critical part of the team for heart operations and procedures requiring sedation, our anesthesia team helps surgery go smoothly.

Cardiovascular Medicine — The home of outpatient and inpatient care for patients with suspected, known or chronic cardiovascular diseases such as coronary artery disease, high cholesterol and diabetes-related heart issues. The gateway to our many diagnostic and treatment services.

Center for Circulatory Support — One of the world's leading centers for patients who need high-tech mechanical devices to boost their failing hearts' ability to pump blood - both temporarily or for the long term.

Critical Care — In our dedicated intensive-care hospital units, specialized teams help patients pull through cardiovascular crises and immediate post-surgical recovery.

Heart Failure — We offer team-based care for heart failure from all causes and in all stages, including medical and surgical options as well as disease management and transplant care.

Heart Transplant — Since 1984, U-M teams have helped hundreds of heart patients receive the "gift of life" through heart transplants, including pre- and post-transplant care.

Hypertension — Offering coordinated care for patients with high blood pressure, especially those requiring specialized management or with complicating factors.

Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Clinic — We offer one of only seven clinics nationwide specializing in the treatment of Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM), a common genetic cardiac disorder characterized by abnormal thickening of the heart muscle.

Mitral Valve — Coordinated evaluation, surgical repair or reconstruction, and follow-up for patients with disorders of the mitral valve, including surgery for early-stage heart failure patients.

Pediatric Services — When it comes to the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of heart disease, the Congenital Heart Center is an invaluable resource for children and families. Our team of specialists have extensive expertise in all cardiovascular conditions of infants, children and young adults.

Preventive Cardiology — For those who have survived heart attack, battled chest pain or been told they face a high risk of cardiovascular disease, we offer comprehensive medical, exercise, nutrition, and stress-reduction services.

Pulmonary Hypertension — High blood pressure in lung blood vessels - whether occurring on its own or stemming from other conditions - receives specialized care from our multi-disciplinary team.

Radiology - Imaging — Our teams of radiologists use advanced imaging techniques to "see" the blood vessels of the body and brain, as well as the heart, in a way that guides and enhances treatment.

Radiology - Interventional — Our specially trained interventional radiologists perform minimally invasive procedures on blood vessels throughout the body, in cooperation with our cardiologists and vascular surgeons.

Stroke Program — Our multi-disciplinary team offers nationally recognized emergency and follow-up care for ischemic (blockage) and hemorrhagic (bleeding) strokes, as well as mini-strokes.

Vascular Programs — Blood vessel conditions of all kinds receive specialized diagnosis and treatment through team-based medical, surgical and minimally invasive care.

Women's Heart Program — Because heart disease kills more women than any other condition, this program focuses on helping women identify and reduce their risk factors, and receive effective treatment.
