Dr.Moraitis’ area of greatest expertise is in the management of adrenal disorders, especially causes and treatment of hyper- or hypo-secretion of adrenal cortex hormones and their associated disorders. He is specialized in the management of hypertension, lipid and reproductive abnormalities associated with adrenal disorders.

Dr.Moraitis’ research work has focused on adrenal hormone synthesis and the genetic causes of familial forms of hypertension. He is specifically interested in understanding how the hormones involved in hypertension are regulated, what specific genetic abnormalities are associated with the development of hypertension and novel diagnostic techniques and treatments for the adrenal disorders
