My research program is focused on the receptors, signaling, cell biology, and actions of prostaglandins and leukotrienes in immune responses, antimicrobial defense, inflammation, and fibrotic lung disease. Personnel in my lab comprise a highly interactive group of technicians, students, both M.D. and Ph.D. post-doctoral research fellows, and visiting sabbatical faculty. We employ cell and molecular biology techniques, animal models, and cells from diseased patients in order to understand fundamental aspects of health and disease and opportunities for therapeutic intervention.
