Research Interests:	Investigating changes in metabolism associated with the development of type 2 diabetes by performing metabolomic profiling of pancreatic islets isolated from Zucker diabetic fatty (ZDF) rats, an animal model of diabetes. Developing novel analytical methodology for metabolomics. Extending the capabilities of metabolomics to sample-limited conditions by using small-scale separations on capillary columns coupled to nano-flow electrospray mass spectrometry.
