Cardiac Electrophysiology Program

The U-M Cardiac Electrophysiology Program has more than 25 years experience managing arrhythmias in children and young adults, including individuals with repaired congenital heart disease. We provide the following services and programs:

• Arrhythmia Clinic ½ day per week
• Pacemaker Clinic ½ day every 2 weeks
• Ambulatory ECG monitoring and interpretation
• Exercise testing
• Intracardiac electrophysiology study and transcatheter ablation (Radiofrequency ablation and cryotherapy)
• DC or overdrive pacing cardioversions
• Pacemaker (endocardial dual chamber, biventricular pacing) and implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICD)

We have a dedicated ECG laboratory, exercise laboratory and an intracardiac electrophysiology laboratory. In addition, we provide educational opportunities for physicians in training (cardiology fellows), as well as physicians practicing in the community, and our team has published a text entitled "Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology in the Young."
