Family Based Prevention Program
The Family Based Prevention Program is an eight-week wellness program to improve the lifestyle habits of children (at least 10 years of age) and parents who have or who are at risk for:
- Abnormal cholesterol levels
- Coronary or other vascular diseases
- Diabetes
- High blood pressure
- Lack of physical activity
- Obesity
A team of dieticians, exercise specialists, stress management specialists and physicians work with parents and children together in a group setting.
The Adult and Pediatric Cardiology Prevention programs collaborated on this multidisciplinary program. Our family-based approach encourages healthy change and is a lot of fun.
