Systemic Lupus/Vasculitis Program

The Systemic Lupus/Vasculitis Program was developed jointly by the Divisions of Pediatric Nephrology and Pediatric Rheumatology at C.S. Mott Children's Hopsital. This program evaluates and treats childhood diseases with combined rheumatologic and nephrologic manifestations, such as systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).

Although the majority of the patients seen in this clinic have SLE, we also specialize in other vasulitic and inflammatory diseases including Wegeners Granulomatosis, systemic vasculitis, polyarteritis nodosa, Henoch-Schoenlein purpura (HSP), parainfectious processes and other vasculitides.

Our multidisciplinary program is staffed by pediatric nephrologists and pediatric rheumatologists. We also have dedicated nurses, social workers, and a dietician available for patients in clinic and also for phone consultation.

Our Lupus program has developed patient care protocols and participates in clinical research directly benefiting our patients.
