Cystic Fibrosis Center
The University of Michigan Cystic Fibrosis Center mission is to provide excellence and leadership in patient care, services, research and education. The University of Michigan CF Center is the largest program in the state. There are separate pediatric and adult CF programs within the center.
The University of Michigan CF Center is proud to announce exciting results from the 2007 CF Foundation Registry. We ranked first in the country for average forced expiratory volume in 1 second (FEV 1), age 6 to 17 years. Since FEV 1 measures the amount of airflow on forced exhalation, this means that our patients had the best lung function of all 150 CF Care Centers nationwide. This is great news for children with CF living in Michigan and the surrounding region.
