Pediatric Rheumatology - Outreach - Munson Medical Center - Traverse City

The Pediatric Rheumatology Division from the University of Michigan Health System (UMHS) now provides patient care service to the patient population in the northwestern Michigan through a collaborative Community Outreach venture with the Munson Medical Center. Pediatric Rheumatology from UMHS delivers same level of excellent diagnostic services to patients referred by their primary care physicians for evaluation of inflammatory disease and musculoskeletal complaints, now at a convenient location to our population from the northwestern part of the State. We provide comprehensive longitudinal and multidisciplinary programs for children who have rheumatic or connective tissue diseases, including:

  • Acute rheumatic fever
  • Behcet's disease
  • Benign musculoskeletal pain syndromes
  • Disorders of collagen and connective tissue
  • Henoch-Schonlein Purpura
  • Juvenile dermatomyositis and polymyositis
  • Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis
  • Kawasaki disease
  • Lyme arthritis
  • Mixed connective tissue disease
  • Overuse syndromes
  • Psoriatic arthritis
  • Raynaud's syndrome
  • Recurrent fever without diagnosis
  • Reflex neurovascular dystrophy
  • Scleroderma
  • Septic arthritis
  • Sjogren's syndrome
  • Spondyloarthropathies
  • Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE)
  • Vasculitic disorders
  • Wegener's granulomatosis
