Extracorporeal Life Support Program

Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO), also known as Extracorporeal Life Support (ECLS), provides extended cardiac and/or pulmonary support to patients with severe, acute, recoverable respiratory or cardiac illness. The ECMO program also is involved in other types of extracorporeal support procedures such as liver support.
