The Pediatric Nephrology Service evaluates and treats children with medical diseases of the kidneys and lower urinary tract. The service also cares for children who have fluid and electrolyte imbalances. The care of children with acute renal failure and those with end-stage renal disease who require treatment with either dialysis or transplantation is a major focus of this service.
