About our Pediatric Inpatient Pharmacy:
Our staff features seven pediatric clinical pharmacists, each one dedicated to a different specialty such as: Neonatal Intensive Care, Pediatric Intensive Care, Hematology/Oncology/BMT, Surgery, Infectious Disease, General Pediatrics/Nephrology/Pulmonary, and Anesthesia/Pain. About our Outpatient Pharmacy: In addition to the services listed above, our department supports a Drug Information Service that provides pharmaceutical, pharmacological and therapeutic information to health practitioners at the U-M and in the local area. Rapid, clinically applicable information is available to requesters by telephone (734) 936-8200, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. We also educate pharmacy students, interns and pediatric pharmacy residents and have a Medication Safety Officer that participates in patient safety rounds and is a vital part of the Pediatric Medication Committee. |
