Surgery

More than 9,500 major pediatric surgical procedures are performed, and more than 4,500 surgical outpatients are seen annually at C.S. Mott Children's Hospital. In addition, our surgeons see patients at several non-U-M facilities in Michigan and Ohio. Services range from organ transplant to plastic surgery to orthopaedic surgery and more.

In recognition of our ability to care for the most severely injured pediatric patients and our demonstrated leadership in research, education, outreach/prevention and system planning, Mott Hospital has been verified as a Pediatric Level 1 Trauma Center by the Committee on Trauma of the American College of Surgeons.
