| The University of Michigan Prenatal Heart Program offers compassionate and comprehensive care for women and families faced with a possible cardiac abnormality in their unborn babies. The Program is staffed by U-M doctors, nurses, social workers and technicians who are dedicated to providing the best care for mother and baby. Patients evaluated in our clinic receive a complete fetal cardiac evaluation and consultation with a Pediatric Cardiologist. We provide all patients with the most current and complete information about the heart diagnosis, available options for care and expected prognosis, and we help patients understand the information they are given so they can make informed decisions.
When additional services and consultations are needed, PHP staff coordinates these visits for patients. We work in close collaboration with Pediatric Cardiac Surgery, Maternal Fetal Medicine, and the Fetal Diagnosis and Treatment Center at the University of Michigan. |
