Clinical Pathology - Specimen Procurement - Phlebotomy
Our Phlebotomy Team collects all patient blood samples ordered by UMHS physicians, provided that the sample can be collected in an evacuated tube. We will draw below IV lines. Our team does not collect samples from fistulas, shunts, arterial lines or heparin locks or from an arm containing any of these.
