Cognitive Disorders

The Cognitive Disorders Clinic evaluates problems of memory and thinking ability that can occur with aging. It provides definitive diagnosis and comprehensive management of patients with:
- memory loss
- disorders of higher cognitive function and dementia.
Disorders of particular interest include Alzheimer's disease and Alzheimer mimics, such as:
- frontal dementia,
- Parkinson's disease with dementia,
- progressive supranuclear palsy,
- dementia with Lewy bodies and
- Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease.
Early-onset, rapidly progressive, and familial dementias are also particularly appropriate for this clinic.
The Cognitive Disorders Clinic integrates clinical care, research and the training of health professionals to provide patients and families with the latest advances in dementia care.
