Pediatric Dentistry

Pediatric Dentistry treats patients from birth to 16 years of age who are medically compromised, physically and/or mentally challenged, and who present oral diseases. Regular and emergency care is provided in the clinic at the University Hospital as well as under general anesthesia at the Mott Children's Hospital Surgery Center. Particular interest is directed to researching pediatric oral medicine, oral/dental manifestations of systemic diseases, and the acute and long-term effects of medical therapies in the oral mucosa and in the development of the craniofacial complex.
