Our Immunopathology Laboratory offers a wide range of clinical evaluations of immunity and autoimmune diseases, strengthened by active research efforts in the area of cytokine-mediated and immune complex-induced inflammation. Clinical testing includes:
- autoantibody assays
- cryoglobulin and viscosity determinations
- high-resolution protein electrophoresis (including CSF oligoclonal bands)
- immunoelectrophoresis
- immunofixation
- rheumatoid serology
- specific protein and complement assays
- syphilis serology.
The laboratory also offers direct and indirect immunofluorescence studies on kidney, skin, and peripheral nerve biopsy specimens.
