The Multidisciplinary Pediatric Neuromuscular Disorders Clinic at the University of Michigan Health System provides comprehensive diagnostic assessments and treatment recommendations for infants, toddlers and school-aged children with neuromuscular disease. Specific conditions evaluated at the clinic include muscular dystrophies, congenital myopathies, and inherited and acquired neuropathies. Additional services include genetic counseling, therapy evaluation, and orthotic design. The clinic is sponsored in part by the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). It is held in the Burlington Building at the UMHS's Briarwood campus on the first three Monday mornings of the month. Appointments are scheduled through the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
