Epilepsy Imaging

The University of Michigan has tremendous capabilities in the field of imaging studies for patients with epilepsy. We have state-of-the-art technology and extensive experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) techniques designed specifically for epilepsy patients, Computed Tomography (CT), Positron Emission Tomography (PET), Single Positron Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT) and Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (MRS).Through these imaging techniques, the healthy care team is often able to establish the location and cause of a patient's seizures.
