Assisted Ventilation
Director:
Robert Gary Sitrin, M.D.
Co-Director:
Anthony E Chiodo, M.D.
The AVC meets on Wednesday afternoons in the Taubman Center at the Medical Center Main Campus. We have two procedure rooms fully equipped with lift systems and hydraulic tables for safe patient transfers, as well as the necessary facilities for tracheostomy changes, endoscopic assessment of the trachea, and wound care. We also stock a variety of devices in the clinic for trials of noninvasive interfaces (masks, nasal pillows), BiPAP, Cough-Assist devices, and ventilator setting adjustments.
To arrange for appointments, please contact our call center at 734-615-8217 or 1-888-287-1084 . If your patient requires consultation with both Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, we will require a separate referral for each, and please indicate that the appointments need to be coordinated. Presently, a new patient can be seen within just a few weeks, and we will provide consultation reports within a few days. We will also maintain communication with our referring physicians and primary care providers so you are always updated with any management changes.
If you have questions about our services, please feel free to contact our nurse practitioner, Jan Peploski, at 734-232-3795. We hope you will find the AVC a valuable resource that will assist you with caring for these complex patients.Appointment Number: 734-615-8217
