Otology and Neurotology Program
Director: Steven A Telian, M.D.
The Otology and Neurotology Program provides comprehensive care for diseases of the ear, including hearing loss, infections and dizziness. In addition to routine stapedectomy and otologic surgery for infectious diseases of the ear, other microscopic surgical procedures for removal of tumors (such as acoustic neuromas) and relief of vertigo are routinely performed. A state-of-the-art program has been developed to treat patients with severe deafness by providing them with a cochlear implant.
The assessment of ear and facial nerve problems is supported by modern audiology, vestibular and facial nerve testing capabilities. The internationally recognized expertise of the surgical staff and the scientists at the affiliated Kresge Hearing Research Institute provide a unique environment for patients to receive the most up-to-date and innovative treatments available.Appointment Number: 734-936-8051
