Vertigo Management Program
Director: Hussam Khalil El-Kashlan, M.D.
The Vertigo Management Program provides diagnosis and management for patients with dizziness and balance disorders resulting from inner ear (vestibular) dysfunction and other causes. The program offers extensive experience in vestibular function testing in a state-of-the-art balance function laboratory (see Balance Function Assessment and Rehabilitation Program). We provide contemporary medical and surgical treatment for patients with disabling inner ear disease.
As an alternative or in combination with medical/surgical treatment, balance retraining compensation and habituation physical therapy are provided. This therapy is coordinated with Physical Therapy and provided and monitored through the Vestibular Testing Center.
Several research projects are ongoing to help us understand Meniere's disease and other common balance disorders.
