Vocal Health Center
Director: Norman Dertad Hogikyan, M.D.
The Vocal Health Center, located in the U-M Livonia Center for Specialty Care, is part of the overall U-M Laryngology and Voice Disorders Program. It is a unique Center that provides comprehensive care for the voice and voice disorders, including a Multidisciplinary Clinic for Occupational or Professional Voice Users. Clinical staff at the Vocal Health Center combines expertise from the U-M Health System, and the Vocal Arts Division of the U-M School of Music, Theater and Dance. Patients can be seen by the physician laryngologist, or in the Multidisciplinary Clinic. Triage to the Multidisciplinary Clinic is typically based upon occupational, professional, or other special voice use.
In the Multidisciplinary Clinic, a laryngologist, speech pathologist and voice training specialist work together to provide innovative, tailored care for the speaking or singing voices. We emphasize both treating and preventing voice disorders. Vocal professionals likely to benefit from this care include teachers, attorneys, clergy, singers, media personalities, actors, and others.Appointment Number: 734-432-7666
