Laryngology and Voice Disorders Program

The Division of Laryngology, Rhinology and General Otolaryngology (LaRGO) of the U-M Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery offers comprehensive care for the voice and other Laryngology related disorders. We provide services at both the U-M Medical Center in Ann Arbor, and The Vocal Health Center at the U-M Center for Specialty Care in Livonia, Michigan. Problems commonly treated through the Voice Disorders Program include: vocal nodules, cysts or polyps, vocal fold paralysis, muscle tension dysphonia, respiratory papilloma, spasmodic dysphonia, or functional dysphonia. A Multidisciplinary Clinic for Occupational and Professional Voice Users is available at The Vocal Health Center, where care is coordinated by a laryngologist, speech pathologist, and voice training specialist.
