Cardiology
Director: Albert P Rocchini, M.D.
Our Pediatric Cardiology Clinic specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, management and prevention of heart disease originating in childhood. We use a team approach, which means that nurses, physicians, social workers, exercise physiologists and dieticians work together to meet the needs of our patients and their families.
We have several different types of clinics, including:
- Arrhythmia (assessing palpitations)
- Congenital heart (evaluating new murmurs, post-operative care and managing congestive heart failure)
- Heart Transplant (pre- and post-heart transplant management)
- Interventional (assessing if a cardiac catheterization is indicated to repair a hole or open a narrowed valve)
- Pacemaker (assessing and adjusting pacemaker settings)
- Prenatal (performing an echocardiogram on the fetus if congenital heart disease is suspected)
- Prevention clinic (evaluating and making recommendations regarding high cholesterol and triglyceride levels)
- Syncope (evaluating fainting spells)
