The 10-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) provides around-the-clock specialized medical and nursing care, together with state-of-the-art physiologic monitoring, for patients with myocardial infarction, severe myocarditis and other life-threatening heart diseases.
An adjacent 32-bed intermediate care or step down unit is available for patients who are no longer in need of intensive care but still require cardiac monitoring and special nursing services not routinely offered on the standard inpatient units.
