Cardiovascular Medicine

Cardiovascular Medicine sees patients for evaluation and therapy of suspected, acute or chronic cardiovascular disorders. A full range of diagnostic studies are available, including:

• Coronary angiography
• echocardiography testing
• transesophageal and dobutamine echocardiograms
• electrophysiologic testing for suspected arrhythmias and evaluation of antiarrhythmic agents
• endomyocardial biopsy
• exercise stress testing
• Holter ECG recording and analysis
• preventive cardiology
• hyperlipidemia management

An active investigational drug program allows patients to benefit from the newest therapeutic agents. In addition, the most modern nonsurgical interventions are available, including: emergency coronary reperfusion with thrombolytic agents, percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA), intracoronary stenting, atherectomy and transvenous ablation of foci of cardiac arrhythmias.
