Hand Therapy
Occupational therapists at C.S. Mott Children's Hospital evaluate and provide individualized treatment and follow-up care to infants, children and young adults with complex medical conditions. Therapists help patients learn/master daily living skills, use adaptive equipment, and advance their fine motor skills, functional cognition, sensory integration and visual perception. Our staff works closely with the entire health care team - physicians, nurses, physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, therapeutic recreation specialists and family members - in order to provide the best care possible for every patient. We encourage families and/or caregivers to participate in every treatment program, including the home programs.
We offer our pediatric occupational therapy services to both inpatients and outpatients at various clinics, including the Cystic Fibrosis, Hemophilia and Brachial Plexus clinics.
We also offer several outpatient services through our Spine Program and at our MedRehab satellite locations in Canton and Briarwood. Our hand therapy staff includes physiatrists, nationally certified.Appointment Number: 734-763-2554
