Pelvic Organ Prolapse
The tissues of the vagina that support the pelvic organs, including the bladder, uterus, and rectum, can weaken leading to pelvic organ prolapse. When this occurs, the vagina can drop causing pressure. As this condition worsens a bulge or protrusion of the vagina can be felt coming out of the vaginal opening.
