Male Genitourinary and Urethral Reconstructive Surgery

Our Male Reconstructive and Incontinence program specializes in evaluating and treating patients with voiding dysfunction as a result of urethral stricture or obstruction, incorporating the study and treatment of congenital and acquired diseases of the urethra and male genitalia. Symptoms can include a weak or slow urine stream, dribbling, urinary frequency, urgency, nocturia, or urinary retention. Urethral strictures in men can develop following straddle injury, fracture of the pelvis/sacrum, penetrating trauma, following prior endoscopic / surgical procedure(s) or for other reasons. Utilizing modern philosophy and techniques in reconstructive urologic surgery, the goal of urethral reconstructive surgery is to allow the patient to urinate as normally as possible.
