Faculty Appointment: Associate Professor, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology
Research Interests: Dr. Kwok's research focuses on the mechanism of gene activation. The goal of his research is to understand the process of gene activation and how this process is regulated. He will focus on the roles of CBP in gene activation and identifying and characterizing factors that interact with CBP to initiate gene activation. He will also address the question of whether the interaction between Tax-1 and CBP is important for the pathogenic effects of HTLV-1.
