Faculty Appointment:
|
Clinical Associate Professor,
Department of Psychiatry
|
| Specialty: |
Pediatric Neuropsychology
|
| Clinical Interests: |
My clinical interests include developmental psychopathology with a particular focus on neurodevelopmental (e.g., autism spectrum disorders, learning disability, and ADHD) and acquired disorders of childhood (e.g., traumatic brain injury). Additional clinical interests include genetic and metabolic disorders and epilepsy. |
| Research Interests: |
My research interests are broadly in expanding our understanding of developmental psychopathology, particularly neurodevelopmental and acquired disorders of childhood. My major areas of investigation include: 1) exploring the neural correlates and mechanisms of learning and memory processes, including social learning, in learning disability, autism spectrum disorders (ASD), and traumatic brain injury; 2) expanding our understanding of the brain regions that underlie social cognition and competence from gaze following to Theory of Mind (ToM) in ASD and other areas of developmental psychopathology; 3) the development of psychometric and brain imaging (i.e. magnetoencephalography) methods and measures to identify biomarkers of early risk and improve diagnostic precision for neurodevelopmental disorders (ASD and developmental language disorders); and 4) subtyping neurodevelopmental disorders. |
