Faculty Appointment: Assistant Professor, Department of Radiation Oncology
Specialty: Radiation Oncology
Clinical Interests: Pediatric radiation oncology as well as cancers of the skin and genitourinary system in adults (prostate, kidney, bladder, and testis).
Research Interests: Clinically we are investigating improved means of delivering radiation to the prostate while minimizing radiation to surrounding normal tissues through the use of image guided radiation therapy and measurements of prostate motion during treatment. In addition, studies are looking at the underlying genetic changes in prostate cancer and how this may effect prostate cancer progression and response to treatment. Finally, laboratory experiments are focused on non - invasive imaging to understand tumor and normal tissue responses to ionizing radiation with an emphasis on diffusion MRI and novel bioluminescent techniques.
