Your Clinic Visit


This is what to expect at your first clinic visit with us.

Before Your Visit

After you have been assigned to a surgeon, that surgeon's administrative assistant will call you to schedule an appointment. You will then receive an appointment reminder in the mail along with a map showing you where the clinic is (Taubman, 2nd floor Reception G) and where to park (Taubman A Parking Lot). You will receive a reminder call the day before your appointment.

Please remember: Bring with you to the appointment any films (X-rays, etc.) that were taken outside of the University of Michigan Health System, so that we can have access to them when we evaluate you.

When you arrive for your appointment, check in at the front desk. A staff member will take you to the exam room. There, you will be seen by a nurse or a medical assistant who will check your vital signs before the surgeon sees you.
