Clinical Interests: I am interested in the care of patients with liver conditions pre-transplant. I have a special interest in viral hepatitis, including hepatitis B and hepatitis C.
Research Interests: I perform laboratory research on hepatitis C virus (HCV). HCV infects nearly 3% of the world's population and its complications account for the leading indications for liver transplantation worldwide. My research focuses on characterizing the molecular mechanisms by which host (human) cofactors support HCV replication.
