| Clinical Interests: |
Hepatology: my main interest is the evaluation of patients with liver tumors. Also, as a member of the liver transplantation team, I evaluate patients who need a transplant. I am also interested in the evaluation of chronic liver diseases (e.g., viral hepatitis, hemochromatosis, fatty liver), unknown causes of elevated liver function tests, and cholestatic liver diseases (e.g., primary biliary cirrhosis, primary sclerosing cholangitis). |
| Research Interests: |
My research interests are the diagnosis and treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma (primary liver cancer). Currently, I am involved in studies that evaluate new therapies for this tumor and I am also evaluating new strategies for the early detection of liver cancer. |
