                    <title>Drug known to reduce prostate cancer risk also aids early diagnosis of aggressive form of the disease</title>
                    <description>Finasteride, a well-known generic drug that shrinks an enlarged prostate, also reduces men's risk of getting prostate cancer. A new study in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute strongly suggests finasteride also increases the chances that physicians will find fast-growing prostate cancers early. The study comes from the Southwest Oncology Group, a large clinical trials network headquartered at the U-M.</description>
