Phantom Limb/Stump Pain
Suggested Pre-Referral Evaluation and Management Guidelines Amputation of any limb has a potential to lead to either a painful or non painful sequelae such as: phantom sensation, telescoping, stump pain and phantom pain. It can also occur after mastectomy.
A trial of NSAID's, anticonvulsants, TCA's, TENS unit
Suggested Additional Test/Management Prior to Specialty Visit Please include any pertinent history including medications.
