1)Physical examination for murmurs suggesting left ventricular outflow tract obstruction
2)Serum chemistries (chem. 7), CBC,
TSH, CHD profile, BNP
3)ECG
4)CXR
Suggested Additional Test/Management Prior to Specialty Visit
1)Treadmill stress echocardiogram with documentation of LV outflow tract gradients before and after exercise
2)48 hr Holter monitor
Patient Education/Information (includes preps) Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Association
Appointment Timeframe 2-6 weeks
