Suggested Pre-Referral Evaluation and Management Guidelines
1) Decrease or abstain from alcohol
2) Hepatitis A/B vaccination
3) Advise on precautions to prevent transmission
4) Blood Survey, Complete Blood Count (CBC); Hepatic Function Panel; Prothrombin Time (PT);
5) HCV genotype, Hepatitis B Surface Antigen (HBsAg), Fe/TIBC
Suggested Additional Test/Management Prior to Specialty Visit Alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) and RUQ US if clinical suspicion of cirrhosis
