Suggested Pre-Referral Evaluation and Management Guidelines Document onset, severity and location of pain, radicular distribution if present, previous treatments including surgery and medical therapy as well as injections.
Suggested Additional Test/Management Prior to Specialty Visit MRI of cervical spine
AP and Lateral Xray of cervical spine
Consider EMG/Nerve conduction study if pain not radicular in distribution
