Acute Fractures
Suggested Pre-Referral Evaluation and Management Guidelines 1. Assess neurovascular status of the limb(s)
2. Immobilize as best as possible
Suggested Additional Test/Management Prior to Specialty Visit Immediate referral to orthopaedic surgery
Patient Education/Information (includes preps) 1. Ice
2. Elevate
3. Rest/Immobilize extremity
Appointment Timeframe Patient will be seen within 2 days, or sooner based on medical necessity.
