Dizziness
Suggested Pre-Referral Evaluation and Management Guidelines
1) Acute vertigo with dizziness: refer to Emergency Room.
2) Chronic /recurrent: Patient should be referred directly to UMHS Vestibular Testing Center. See suggested additional test/management prior to specialty visit.
Suggested Additional Test/Management Prior to Specialty Visit Vestibular balance testing and audiogram to be performed at UMHS (outside testing not accepted). Patient should be referred directly to UMHS Vestibular Testing Center. VTC to schedule Neurotology visit if appropriate.
Patient Education/Information (includes preps) 1. Dizziness and Motion Sickness
