| Suggested Pre-Referral Evaluation and Management Guidelines |
Mild laryngomalacia may present in a child without feeding problems or retraction or interference with growth or motor activities may be managed with observation and parental education. The growth curve should be followed carefully. If the child is `falling¿ off of the curve then a referral should be made.
|
| Suggested Additional Test/Management Prior to Specialty Visit |
All patients less than 2 years of age should have airway fluoroscopy and magnified airway films, with barium swallow if feeding difficulties present prior to clinic visit. Faculty may require films for older children depending on the case.
