Brachial Plexopathy - Adult
Suggested Pre-Referral Evaluation and Management Guidelines
  		• Consider history of trauma, smoking, breast cancer or other thoracic carcinoma
  		• If neurogenic pain not responsive to NSAIDs, acetaminophen, consider initiating treatment with gabapentin starting at 100 mg po TID and titrate
  		• Consider low dose tricyclic antidepressants (TCAs) if no cardiac history; if previous unsuccessful consider pregabalin
  		• Avoid narcotics
    Suggested Additional Test/Management Prior to Specialty Visit X-ray of involved limb if previously not performed
