Cervical Radiculopathy
Suggested Pre-Referral Evaluation and Management Guidelines
  		• Screen for potentially serious causes
  		• Screen for progressive motor weakness
  		• NSAIDs; opioid analgesic for severe pain
  		• Gabapentin or amitriptyline for neuropathic pain
  		• Patient education
    Suggested Additional Test/Management Prior to Specialty Visit
  		• Cervical AP/lateral, flexion/extension x-rays to rule out instability
  		• MRI if progressive weakness
    Patient Education/Information (includes preps)
  • Spine self-care
  • Home exercise program
  • Body mechanics
