Suggested Pre-Referral Evaluation and Management Guidelines
  		• Acute versus chronic
  		• If new, consider peripheral neuropathy, peroneal mononeuropathy, new CVA, HIV risk, alcoholism
  		• If chronic, consider previous history of CVA, trauma to leg, family history of neuromuscular disease
    Suggested Additional Test/Management Prior to Specialty Visit
  		• EMG
  		• If peripheral neuropathy a consideration, obtain fasting glucose, Hgb A1C, CBC, TSH, T 4, LFTs; HIV testing if risk indicates
