Spastic Gait Disorder - Adult; Acquired
Suggested Pre-Referral Evaluation and Management Guidelines
  		• Evaluate for involvement: all limbs or lower limbs only? Bowel, bladder and/or sexual dysfunction? Incontinence?
  		• If optic neurtitis, episodic weakness/sensory loss, consider multiple sclerosis or other demyelinating process
  		• Myelopathy from spinal stenosis or degenerative process, extensive differential including CNS processes of brain and spine
  		• Consider HIV risk
  		• History of traumatic head injury, CVA
  		• Family history of neurologic disorders
    Suggested Additional Test/Management Prior to Specialty Visit
  		• MRI of brain for demyelinating lesions; geriatric patients with cognitive changes and incontinence, consider head CT
  		• Consider TSH, T4, B12, Folate, CBC, WESR, LFTS, fasting glucose, Hgb A1C, renal function and other tests of peripheral neuropathy, HIV risk
  		• EMG
  		• Neurology referral
