Gynecological Cancer - Suspected
(Solid Pelvic Mass, Complex Ovarian Mass, Ascites Or Pleural Effusion, Elevated CA-125 > 35 In Post Menopause Or > 200 In Premenopause Or Other Tumor Marker Rise)
Suggested Pre-Referral Evaluation and Management Guidelines Refer directly to Gynecologic Oncology UM Comprehensive Cancer Center
Suggested Additional Test/Management Prior to Specialty Visit
 1) Tumor markers appropriate for suspected tumor type
 2) CT of abdomen & pelvis or Ultrasound of pelvis based on suspected tumor type

Pathology slides should be sent to:

Slides should arrive by the day of visit. If at all possible, slides should be sent over night via UPS or Fed Ex to generate a tracking number

Films/CDs of recent imaging studies should be hand carried to appointment
